Le Club Accorhotels - Earning Avios with BA, very confused.

I have read BA's website, and it clearly states that I can earn miles on each stay, how many miles depends on which Accor brand I stay in. Here's a link to BA's webpage with the information concerning Accor hotels;- http://www.britishairways.com/travel/accor-hotels/public/en_gb?cookiesAccepted=newvispop

I looked at the sign up for Le Club and it states that the "next transfer to Executive Club possible starting at 4000 points".

I am very confused, do I have to earn 4000 points before I can earn BA Avios, or do miles get credited to Avios per stay?

If you configure your account to auto transfer to a Frequent Flyer Program (in this case Aviois), the points will be credited directly to Avios at the rate of 1 miles for each 2 Le Club points. That's based on my experience with SQ KrisFlyer.

Mr honu picked DL as the automatic transfer partner, and the same warning "next transfer to Executive Club possible starting at 4000 points" came up for him. He currently has a few hundreds points, which would increase to <1000 with the next stay (we don't use Accor all that much). Would all the points transfer with the next stay, just the ones he earns then (leaving the few hundreds already earned on his LCA account, or no points at all (as he has not reached the 4000 pts threshold?)

Bear in mind that Iberiaplus can be a more 'efficient' way to transfer a-club earnings into avios...

Yes, but the question is can Le Club points be MANUALLY be transferred on client request rather than be held in escrow until the point count reaches 4000...

I set my account to transfer to BA Avios and the remaining points about 2,500 were transferred in about a month. I got a series of emails tracking the progress. So the answer is yes (set the transfer and then if you don't want to transfer set it to something else)

Since then the points transfer after each stay

Does that mean you set it to 'automatically transferred"? Thanks!
