When you do a Web Check-in is there ever a courtesy upgrade.

I find when you go to the desk, I am often upgraded.

Did you realize that you responded to a post from more than four month ago?

yes, but didn't look like anyone else had responded so trying to be responsive, albeit late.

I think he is trying to set a record for the most posts in 1 day.

It was from someone who has exactly one post from more than four month ago. I doubt he/she will care to come back and check now.;)

Possibly. What is that record, by the way? I'm only around 25 or 30.

As long as this "old" thread did get a second life, has anyone else ever been upgraded using web check-in? Just wondering if it is generally a mistake to check in that way. Thanks for any info.

A couple days ago, during the course of a phone call on the morning of my arrival day, I was told that I had already been upgraded to a Regency Club room and preassigned to one with a very good view. However, when I checked in at the front desk upon arrival, I asked and was able to get an even better upgrade, to a regular one-bedroom suite. I'm sure this would not have happened if I had done the web checkin, although I assume that I would have been given the originally preassigned room which still would have been a nice upgrade.

no upgrade this time. Executive Wing at O'Hare but nothing special. In fact, the web check in bar code did not work, but room didn't change from what was provided online.
