Hi

This is my first trip to Seoul. Am thinking of taking the redeye flight to Seoul. Flight will arrive at 530am. By the time, I arrive at hotel, it should be around 8am which is probably too early for cehck-in. What activities can I do early in the morning? Any cheap accommodation to rest for a few hours if I am dead tired? Or I should take the morning flight and arrive there in the afternoon?

Thanks.

Well what sort of things do you like doing?

Where abouts is your hotel?

You could have a breakfast, go shopping, even pre book a day tour and leave your bags in the hotel and complete check in when you come back.

Thanks, i prefer to take it easy and rest, shop. I am just afraid that I am very worn out after the red-eye flight. Any sauna or resting place that I can take a nap if I need to? Thanks.

Thanks. My flight is into ICN. I will take a look and see how it goes. If not, I may just book another night so that I can check-in upon arrival. Thanks for your help.

Why not approach the hotel about paying extra but not a full day for morning check in?

I have done it many time at Changi Crown Plaza.

I've also had hotels check me in at 08:00 so it may be worth it just to call and ask if they'll do it for you. If they're not busy they might not care when you check-in.

If you want to take it easy, then don't do a red-eye. Fly in during the day and enjoy the late afternoon and evening in Seoul.

Would this be at or near ICN or in downtown Seoul?

There's a shower/sauna and rest place (Spa on Air) in the basement of ICN, landside area. It's open 24 hours and has some lockers where you can put your stuff while you take a nap. Entry costs 20,000 KRW and there seems to be additional cost for private rooms.

Downtown Seoul

A very pleasant sauna and with a gentlemen's club feeling is located at the Pacific Hotel at Myeng-Dong. Lots of local CEO types come here to unwind during breaks. Not the cheapest one at around 19000 KRW but very likeable.
