Travel Tools - Help. Expert flyer and award types for routing

I searched this forum& read some posts on using expert flyer but couldnt quite get this info I must not be understanding EF results appropriately. I want to make sure I know my stuff before I call DL again. Was on the phone for 1 hr then got disconnected....grrr after providing all the pax ff#s etc.

I have 240K with DL and am trying to find 3 coach low level tix (or two or 3 on business one way would still work in an 80K award. (I am also paying for one tix myself for a total of 4 tix)
Given this...when I search Exflyer there seem to be several award types...even in economy classic elite classic award, classic europe, long haul short haul flex. Do I presume all those translate into a coach award on DL or do I need to be searching a certain type of award??

AF689 7/18 ATL CDG 9:10p
AF1986 7/19 CDG PRG 3:40p (actually chose 7/20 deciding to stay the night but after being disconnected by DL rep she sent this...just glad she sent a confirmation at all)

1st question...I would prefer departing on 7/19 on the 5:55 or later flights. To me it appears EF if shows the same amount of awards on both days but DL stated there were none? What type of award should I be looking for for coach or business? My understanding is finding any on AF or partner would price as low coach and low business.

PRG (or TXL....but seems less options)
THis is the only option Ive found but prices as business due to the CDG-LON flight ;(

Also checked going through FCO for return PRG- ATL While I see a few awards on EF delta seems to have to "request". when we requested 3 it was denied...before we got to requesting a possible 2 I was magically disconnected...I dont trust my EF skills yet but it looks like going through Rome to the us has even less awards.

THanks...I guess my question is two part so I dont know the best forum...1 is request for help trying to find a better return flight I am purchasing with 3 award tix available and 2 trying to decipher EF to help me do my own leg work.

When using DL miles on AF, you can only redeem "Classic" awards. Not Flex awards and not Elite awards (unless you also have Flying Blue elite status). Once you know that, you'll see there isn't the availability you think there is.
