1. I have a 1:10 PM flight to DXB on SQ and I believe that departs from T2. What time should I leave the lounge to get to my flight by?

2. Also what time is breakfast usually served in the lounge, I wonder if I will be able to have lunch options before I have to go to my gate. Thanks!

It takes nearly 10 mins between T3 to T2 using the sky train. And the time taken between the gates can vary from another 10-15 mins so plan accordingly.

I have a flight at T2 on SQ in Business class. Never been on SQ before and know that the T3 lounge is the main flagship lounge. I also know the T2 just had a nice renovation. Is it worth it for me to trek over to the T3 lounge to check it out? Are the food offerings the same? I assume there is more variety in the main lounge.

Don't bother. If your flight is departing T2, then T3 is quite a trek away. The lounge at T2 is just as nice after the renovations.

Absolutely agree. Used to trek to T3 before the renovations but now there is a half decent lounge in T2 (no view of the airfield however, no natural light, unlike T3 lounge), I now stay in T2 if this is the terminal I am flying from.

By all means check it out, and then come back to T2's lounge where your flight will be boarding from.

T2 lounge offers food as fine as T3's lounge now. If you can, stay at T2 lounge.
Food offers throughout the day.

My flight is out of T2 but I have enough time to stroll over and see the ambiance of T3. Is all the awesome architecture of T3 in the check in area? I have never been to SIN before and just want to take in the cool design in the new terminal. Should I check in to T3 or should I cross over from T2 after checking in there. Also I assume I get a lounge invitation...am I able to check out the T3 lounge and then when time gets closer to my flight go to the T2 SKL or since my lounge invite will be taken when I go to the T3 SKL will I not be able to enter the T2 lounge? Thanks for helping out a SQ newbie.

Your Boarding Pass is your Lounge Invitation.

It's easy to transfer between Terminals by taking the Train.

Guys I have not been in SK lounge in T2 since refurb - pls tell me they have kept the bar / bartender post refurb?

I assume they have not - I loved that little personal touch - to sit and yak to a real person when travelling alone just added one further dimension.

Since the renovations, TPR is the only reason to go to the T3 lounge if your flight is out of T2; in this case, you should plan to use the SQ FC check in lounge in T3 anyway.

There has never been a 'live' person/bartender in any SK lounge in T2 - so can't say there's one now in the refurbished one... at least not in the Business Class section.

Didn't the T2 lounge have a bartender in the champagne bar on the FC side? I don't remember that area being self service.

Still there in the F side.Yes in F in T3 also - but I was specifically asking about T2 old J lounge.

I will be in SIN in 2 days on way to MEL from CPH - will suss out details in T2 J lounge and try to find staff who can clarify bartender presence in past years

I am currently sitting in SK T3 Lounge. We arrived yesterday morning at 05:40 from Copenhagen. Amex Centurion Australia gave me 1 x free night in Raffles Hotel so we availed ourselves of Raffles Sing hospitality on way back to Oz after 3 weeks away - what can I say about Raffles that has not already been said - AMAZING - they even let us check in at 7am - gotta love that.

But I digress.

I have not been in SK T2 Lounge since renovation so trooped over to take a look. First thing you notice is brand new Kris Flyer Gold Lounge now on left side as you arrive top of escalator instead of right side as before - indeed KFGL now consumes most of far left end of former KF J Lounge if you understand layout on entry to old lounge.

First thing you notice new J lounge is 2 things - 1. Much smaller than before and 2. How much decore looks like J Lounge in T3.

As you are about to enter T2 J Lounge look straight ahead - see the chiller section where drinks are housed? This is almost axactly where old 'bar' was except it was a little further back as new back of house has reduced lounge size.

Old 'bar' in SK T2 did indeed have 'bartender' who manned bar from inception of T2 J Lounge right up to commencement of renos in May 2011 - bar was manned on daily basis between hours 3pm and 10pm. I cannot count the number of drinks handed to me over that bar - I cannot tell you how many flts we caught at last moment - I cannot tell you how many laughs we had on those bar stools.

But alas - like so many things from the 'good ol'days' this fabulous personal touch has been dispensed with - sigh.

But back to real world - any guys arriving into T2 or out of T2 who have lounge access no need at all to venture to T3 - drinks same / food same / just as good but just smaller - if you have time - by all means try both - but I can guarantee you champers in both tastes same.

Is there still a smoking section in T2 lounge?

No.

But you can access the smoking garden at each of the terminals within the airport.

Is Harrys Bar still operating in in T3 - a bar fully enclosed in glass where you can drink and smoke - god is it ever smokey inside - must admit have not noticed it for a year or so maybe it is gone now?
