Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Problems in expertflyer seatmap

After the amedaus upgrade i noticed that expert flyer no longer be able to differiate seats that r blocked by CX compare the seats that r ASR by pax? Only when a pax checks in will it convert to occupied.
Also given the lack of POS functionality and it is more frequent that is will show incorrect inventory availability I'm thinking whether there is still value subscribing to them.

CX seat maps on ExpertFlyer still clearly differentiate between Occupied, Blocked, and Available seats. If you have a question about a specific flight, please email us at customercare@expertflyer.com so we can help you.

I'm afraid it doesn't as I have experienced on many different flights already. Also I suggest u guys upgrade the POS option as currently your search results r not accurate.
As I said before it shows the three status but occupied is showing up when a Pax checks in. If a pax just does an asr it will show as blocked

I have experienced the same as described by correctioncx. I have noticed that only after I check in, my seat shows as occupied (solid blue). Before check in, when only reserved, it showed with an X as blocked, but not occupied. Before, these blocked seats could be reserved by calling Marco Polo and having status. Now, some of the seats that appear blocked are in fact occupied , while others are not.
It surely does not behave like it used to. I did emaile expertflyer and they responded all is fine (which is not).

No offence to expertflyer rep here but i find the service to become more and more UNreliable and it is not just on CX their response when u email them is - this is the information the airline is sending them! Bad customer service considering they charge a lot for a service which cost then close to nothing

It would be helpful we could have a specific example where you can point out the specific seat you have reserved that is showing as Blocked instead of Occupied. Yes, it is the information the airline is sending us, however there may be a subtle difference in the attributes of the seats that we can use to change the indicators, which is why we need a specific example.
POS doesn't apply to Seat Maps, it applies to Flight Availability with which we do offer a USA and UK POS.

Actually, we have to pay for every search that is performed by our users, the data is not free and far from "close to nothing". Please don't make assumptions about how our systems, or the airline reservation systems we get our data from, work. Getting accurate and consistent data from airline reservation systems is not straight forward or simple and something we continually work at.
We pay for access to various airline reservation systems which is why we have the in-depth data and unique services that we do. This allows us to get airline data from a choice of systems and one system can have better data for one airline then another. This is why we use our customer feedback to refine how and where we get our data for each search, but we need specific examples to help us do that, so please post or email us that information. Thank you for your help.

Ok...here is why. Sometime between T-55 and T-48, all CX FLTs are transferred from Amadeus to the check-in system (which has not migrated to Amadeus Altéa). During the transfer, the previously "occupied" seats become "blocked" whereas the most (but not all, as I think Extra Legroom Seats remain blocked) of the previously "blocked" seats become "available." Even though I do not use ExpertFlyer, I don't think ExpertFlyer can really solve this issue given that this is the information shown on the GDSs. By the way, it is also between T-55 and T-48 that the configuration designation changed from the IATA code to CX's own code and when the distinction between Y+ and Y are made.
For example, as of now it is about T-51 for CX255/04JUL and T-60 for CX257/04JUL, so the respective seat maps are:

I am glad to hear somebody else say it. As a paying "Premium" subscriber I have also been shocked at the rude responses sent by Expert Flyer's "customer service" in response to my queries. In any case they need a course in Customer Service 101.

Didn't I already answer your question in my previous post? ASRs is shown as "occupied" before T-55. Sometime between T-55 and T-48, they become "blocked." I don't know why you want me to check for more days out...I am sure this is what it is.

Thank you very much ernestnywang for tracking down a specific example, that was very helpful. We can confirm this is the case as CX 257 is now within T-55 and the Occupied seats from the seat map that you posted before have now become Blocked (ExpertFlyer uses the same GDS that you do for the CX seat maps):

You are also correct in that there is nothing we can do to change this behavior on the part of CX, they will either correct it or they won't.
