Mileage Run Discussion - creative (but cheap) routing CID-BEG?

I'm doing the United elite status match and will be flying 9/8-9/14 into BEG and outbound from LJU. Home airport is CID. Any tricks on finding a creative routing (e.g., through IAH, etc.) that would help my chances of meeting the 17,000 miles requirement for status match? Has to be on united metal. Thanks in advance.

what you have posted looks like a fare request......perhaps you can post the ticket details [flight #s, $] datesof the best you have found & ask for help to max the mi/min the cpm....

The fares for this route are around $1600 or so roundtrip right now. I'd like to keep the fare within a few hundred dollars of this and tack on several thousand extra miles by routing through another United hub. When I attempt to do this manually, I'm getting $3K+ fares. I was hoping that someone on flyertalk might be able to provide me with some tricks/hints that I could use to add these miles onto the flight without raising the fare too much. thanks.

Must be UA metal to qualify. So, far I've got a $1600 fare connecting through MUC outbound and BRU inbound. About 9200 qualifying miles. Would like to re-route through DEN or IAH for closer to 11K or 12K qualifying miles.
