Hi All,

I have visited the site and read the posts regularly but this is my second post.

I have an hour between arrival of KQ 116 (from NBO) and departure of KL 621 (to ATL). I believe I arrive and depart from the same terminal, correct me if i am wrong. My arrival date is Tue Aug 28 (@ 3:55 pm).

Is one hour enough time to get to the connecting flight to ATL which departs at 4:55 pm?

My checked bag should be transferred to the ATL flight, right?

Do I have to go through security again to take the ATL flight?

Any tips, other than looking for a flight with a longer layover?

Thanks in advance to everyone, really appreciate everyone's expert opinion.

Doable. You arrive in the same terminal and just walk to the gate of your connecting flight. There, you clear security. No need for customs or passport control.
Your bags will be checked through.

Doable if your inbound is on time. Get a seat near the exit to minimize time disembarking from the inbound.

Bag should check through. Extra security clearance at the departure gate for USA bound flight.

If you can arrange a longer connection, I think that would be wise.

Thanks for the response. This connection was $250 less expensive so was considering. Guess I will spend the extra not worry about flight delays from NBO and what not.

Thanks again.

Is it all one booking? Is it essential that you make that onward flight?

If the answers are "yes" and "no" respectively then I wouldn't waste money on a longer connection.

If you make it, you make it. If you don't make it the airline will just put you on the next flight. And there is a more than even chance that you WILL make it.

How did it go? It should have worked just fine (IMHO).
