InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - Does using the AMB 2-for-1 cert generate an ineligible rate?

My recent 2-for-1 stay at the IC Berlin has just posted showing as ineligible stay.

Is this correct - they have posted as a proper stay in the past.

These have always occasionally posted as a non-qualifying stay. This has been going on for years. Even when you booked whatever rate and threw in a BOGO, the stay sometimes posted as a non-qualifying one.

Yes -- there's even a dedicated thread for that. The essence is that you should complain because at least the first night was paid for in full and is qualifying. Depending on your luck, you might also get two qualifying nights.

I have been through the T&C's and don't see that the paid stay doesn't qualify but I've also emailed back to see what they say by way of explanation.

This is nothing new either. :D They always deny first and then make one time exception.

Contact the Ambassador Service Centre by phone.

They are aware that there is a problem with their new system when it comes to posting stays involving an Ambassador Weekend Certificate. They are still trying to fix the problem.

Logic is this. You are buying 1 night and getting 1 free. You therefore get points and stay credit for 1 night, although usually you get 2. Getting nothing is not an option.
