Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan - How to UG?

I am DL DM travelling on AS OAK-OKK flt with travelling partners who is AA Gold. What are UG instruments are available to us? I can xfer AS miles, or is DM comp UG only way to go?

As a DL DM, you're eligible for a complimentary upgrade for yourself, but not a companion. You can upgrade using AS miles, but only on certain fare classes.

I'm assuming OKK is actually OGG which means no UG for DL elites. DL doesn't offer complimentary upgrades to Hawaii to even its own elites and AS reciprocates.


And if you purchase a Value fare or higher you can use AS miles to UG (assuminng there is U space for both pax on flight)
