When I booked 1 week Minivan in Italy through Auto Europe web site, there was a big price difference depending on where we live.
On the first page of Auto Europe web site, we specify the country of residence.
If I put Europe, the rate was Eur 693 for a week including Excess refund cover(auto Europe covers the deductable).
If I put USA, the rate jumped up to $1711 including no deductable.

Is there any problem if I put Europe as the residence???

By the way, the actual rent car company was both Europcar.

I'd highly recommend against renting from Auto Europe, their practices can only be described as sleazy and dishonest:

Check UK (http://www.skodalub.ru/ae_uk.php) and Ireland (http://www.skodalub.ru/ae_ie.php) web-site of Autoeurope. In 99,99% one of them gives you best price. And you won't be asked for you nationality or country of residence if you'll follow these links. :)

Thanks both of you!

I did select Europe(email from autoeurope leads the reseravation page which europe was the default selection), however, for payment page, I put my USA address as the residence location.

On confirmation voucher, it shows my USA address, but the rate was euro, not US$.
