Hilton HHonors - Multiple night question

I know the T/C state credit for 2 rooms, but what is that based on?

Example,

I had the following

Confirmation #1
1 king room arrive Friday depart Monday Fri me, Sat-Mon also wife

Confirmation #2, 2 rooms
Each 2 queen arrive Sat depart Monday Sat-Mon my kids (2s/1d)

So which rooms am I getting credit for? Is the two room rule based on check in or check out?
