I've Been working for Enterprise Holdings(formally hertz) for a few months I wanna give you guy's heads up about new cars we get just like I did for hertz. Here's a small list. Also the FL drive out is back!!!!!!

Yeah the 2012's have those shifters. But the 1's I've seen have the little touchscreen.

I don't about the fords yet but we do have the beetles. They are the base models I've seen so far. No new cc's yet. I also work at the fll location. Different locations have different cars.

And with warranty status up in the air, fleet sales probably look pretty attractive to the manufacturer...

Yeah the 2012's have those shifters. But the 1's I've seen have the little touchscreen.

The small touch screen is due to a Chrysler parts shortage

I think I'm the only person who DOESN'T want new cars. I was extremely happy with the fleet mix in 2011, and would be perfectly content if it stayed that way.

No, there's a misunderstanding. Cars won't be available for pickup at a special one-way rate in January. The offer will be advertised in January, for pickup in April and May as usual. Think about it: There's mid-winter break for K-12, and spring break. Meanwhile, the Northeast and other parts of the country remain cold. The demand in FL will thus still be strong.

Avis had one in October from NY, PA, and DC, and then another one from GA, NC, and SC in early December. It was more limited because this year all the rental companies got good deals to purchase cars in FL. I've heard this from Hertz, Avis, and National reps. Last year they told me the good deals were in the NY area, which was unusual.

The snowstorm in October also changed which cities had surpluses. There was a large pileup in NY, with one-way specials soon after to go to other cities. But not really to go to FL.

I beg to differ. Trying to get MCO the last weekend of the month, no holiday, and a midsize is $42/day for the weekend. I can use the free day, but still comes out to $30/day. I can get a mid-size at Payless for $9/day. Never done it, but this time my brand loyalty may be dropped for price savings. Total is $60 vs $160 for National, ouch.

Right! But I have a friend who works the counter and she said they have good deals now for the older cars we can't get rid of. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Not sure. It never came to Alamo returns. Only national. Our returns are within feet of each other.

As long as National keeps getting in reasonably new Impalas... I'm a happy camper.

I'm a Euro car guy myself... but if you can get an Impala with < 10,000 miles on it... they drive quite nice.

The 2012 Tiguan I have now (from the normal EA) is an SE model (the key says SE2?). Classed as IFAR.

Probably never. Lol! I was at hertz visiting my old co-workers and managers and guess what I saw????? Ferrari's and c63 Amg's!!!! Must say I'm a little jealous.

Just got more Camaro's. They have different wheel styles and have a touchscreen radio inside.


New Buick lacrosse's also. Touchscreen radio standard also with a new grill.

Ford escapes came again today. They have the ecoboost engines. Must say I like turbo in this car.



I'm waiting for the new malibu's and altima's myself. Will keep you guys posted.

Sadly no. I just rented it.

MY 2013 Nissan Altimas do not get standard satellite radio before the 2.5SV trim level, and I doubt National is buying those.

Base 2012 Honda Accords don't get sat radio.

Base 2012 Toyota Camrys don't get sat radio standard.

Base 2012 Ford Fusions don't get sat radio - although fleets tend to buy SEs.

Base 2012 VW Passats don't get sat radio.

Hyundai is now selling MY13 Sonatas - these do have sat radio standard.

2012 Chevy Malibus have std sat radio.

I believe that covers top seven midsize cars by sales in the U.S. for 2011.

Alright.. Point taken... Most cars the Altima compete with don't have standard sat. It is just that NONE of the Nissans rental fleets but seem to have it standard on the fleet trims.
