MilesBuzz! - status change midstay do I get the bonus points?

If one aquires a higher status midstay ie blu to silver to gold, do you get the status bonus, for nites etc after it has been earned? Or does that only count for your next stay?


For example on a 20 nite stay, you check in as blue but after 10 nites you earn silver. Do your get the silver base points bonus for the last 10 nites?

I would change the stay and rebook as a silver for the remaining nights.

Usually your status won't change until after the stay, since the whole stay posts in one shot after you check out.

You could split the reservation into two, but that would only work if the points for the first stay post (and your status changes) before you check out for the second stay

OR depending on the program, ask for a status challenge and usually they give you the status first, and if you meet the challenge you get to keep it.

In which program? What are you asking this question (a) without mentioning the program (since the details can vary from program to program) and (b) in MilesBuzz! instead of the forum for the specific program (where it would be obvious by thread placement which program you're talking about)?

I'm guessing Hilton HHonors based on the mentions of Blue in addition to Silver and Gold, but I'm not sure if that's the only program that has those colors.
