BMI gold card holder, as in card says expires 06/12
Wrote for status match both said I am showing as Silver, even with the card valid until end June. KLM gold and BAEC gold as well but they arent having it, do you think its worth fighting ? :D
I acknowledge my year ended 02 May, but is it not valid that the gold status ends when your card does

They also apparently know that your bmi status was technically silver at the time of applying for a status match - so I'm not sure there's much you can do in this case - sorry!

It has generally been considered a practicality that your card expires a month or so after your status to allow new ones to be sent to you. So if you fall to Silver you do actually get a bonus month. If Gold renews it provides continuity of service.
I don't think you have a strong case.

yeh point taken, I guess I have to wait until a *A matches Flying Blue or BAEC Gold,
Issue is I do a lot of Aberdeen Stavanger so SAS / Wideroe is direct, whereas to used BA or KLM needs 2 flights, although helps regain status quicker and its sometimes cheaper using them. ( especially KLM if you are open jawing with Kristiansand )
I could have done A3 months ago, so was stupid not to.

I am in the same boat as you. Membership year May 2012 , card June 2012. A3 said no, but we will match you to *A Silver equvalent (Blue in their case). Fair enough. Tried match using BA Gold or LH SEN but - "...we are not authorised to match anything except BD..."
As for TK, well

TK matched my Flying Blue Platinum after about four hours.

Beware! BA cards work in the same way with the card date being a month after the actual qualification date for status. Same reason; it provides continuity until the new card arrives and gives you a month's bonus if you have dropped a level.
