bmi diamond club - Award flight cancelled, still no miles credited back

I cancelled a Virgin reward seat about 10 days ago, but the miles have still not credited.

How long does it normally take?

Last BMI one I cancelled 3 weeks ago came back same day. Still no sign of the cash of course!

Send an email to DC team, explain your case and the miles will be recredited soon.

I've had to chase up two more refunds today. Both were promised earlier in May to be refunded in "7-10 working days". Chased once before. Still no refund whatsoever. Refunds not answering phone still - it seems they'd perhaps rather work processing refunds? hopefully...

Call many times, until you get it done, otherwise they say "just wait". I had a reward that was not ticketed in time and cancelled, they said 10 working days, after that no miles. Then had to call 2-3 times more to get them eventually.

called to query my delayed miles, phone answered by a really helpful guy with a Derbyshire accent. checked their system, and credited the miles right then over the phone.

apologised for the delay on the credit of funds also, and said that the credit team are very busy and that the funds should appear within the next 4-5 days.

They can take some time to do it. Sometimes on the miles, sometimes on the Cash, sometimes on both.

Not sure how many staff they have in Refunds, but the person who emailed me from there today now has an email autoanswer saying they are not back now till 4th July.

Silly question: these are bookings made while DC was still alive? So if one of those bookings is canceled they refund the miles (into Avios?) and the cash/taxes?

No, back into DC miles.

Just cancelled a redemption from LHR-SYD and logged into my DC a/c and miles instantly there. Now to see how long the cash takes
