I have been on flyer Talk for over a year, and please understand that this is my first post.

Is anybody familiar with the Hilton Grand Vacation Properities on the Las Vegas Strip? I'm a Hilton Diamond member, and I usually stay at the Embassy Suities in Las vegas. Is the property part of a time share or other vacation program? If anybody has stayed at this property in the past, could you please let me know if this is a property that provides room upgrades and free breakfast, or any other Diamond benefits.

The Las Vegas Strip Hilton is way too far up north, stay at the Elara or HiltonGVC at the flamingo. No upgrades and no breakfast, you just get bonus points and some water bottles for all grand vacation properties. You might get an upgrade at either property but don't expect it, it's not part of the benefits.

I'd stay at the Elara as the Flamingo location is a bit aged and there is construction going on in the North tower(I just got back a couple days ago)... Both properties are center strip with the Flamingo HGVC slightly more centered. The suites are massive, especially the 2 bedrooms(Double doors w/ doorbell, two separate doors w/ jacuzzi's in each bedroom) etc..

Both are definitely more "hotel" type properties, nothing like staying at Bellagio or Caesers. If you want to come back at night into a more relaxing, hotel like atmosphere with no smoking, stay at a Hilton... I'm not quite sure if I will stay at a Hilton in Vegas next trip, even if I don't get points... Didn't really give me the full Vegas experience but that was because I was at a bachelor party :p
