I just called 2 CSRs to double check, but I wanted to confirm on FT too (because I, of course, trust y'all way more!). I have a Citi Dividend World Mastercard. Here's what I was told:

From July to September (3Q), I will get 4% cashback on, among other things, airfare. Apparently, there is no cap on the amount of this 3Q bonus, and there is no cap on the overall dividend I can earn in a calendar year.

This sounds really good, as I have about 15K to spend on airfare during 3Q. But can any of you confirm that this really is the case? I don't want to get hosed by some false CSR info.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but in the fine print, it states:

Unless you received an offer indicating otherwise, you may earn up to $300 cash back per calendar year.

It's 5% (4% on top of the existing 1%). It's fixed redemption, and there's no way to get extra value out of Citi Dividend cashback. So, I prefer Citi least out of the 5% rotaters (Chase Freedom & Discover More). Granted, the airline category is unique to Citi for Q3.

You'll have to decide if 5% cash is worth more to you, or 3 MRs, assuming you have an Amex PRG. In either case, given that you haven't used your card this year, don't charge more than $6k of airfare to your Citi Dividend.
