Scrub Island BVI is pretty great.

Haven't been there yet, but one of my coworkers wanted suggestions for a Marriott hotel for her honeymoon & that's the one that has the most amazing pictures & looks like it's probably one of the best out there.

Harbor Beach Marriott, Fort Lauderdale , FLI definitely like this hotel, its location and its beach.

But one of the nicest white sand beaches anywhere is the Pensacola Beach SpringHill Suites. It's not a top-end resort hotel, but the beach right there is as good as any I've been to virtually anywhere else (including non-Marriott beach resorts.)

Its a really, REALLY, nice hotel if you want the following:

1) Pure relaxation on the hotel property
2) Local beaches and attractions within a short ferry ride
3) Diving, swimming, etc.

If you want big nightlife, loud music, and/or a disco atmosphere, it is not the best place for that.

Feeling a little like a broken record right about now, but...Marriott Grand Cayman. The Ritz is on the same beach, but their portion of the beach was c-r-o-w-d-e-d when we were there. The chairs were practically on top of each other. I was glad we stayed at the Marriott. The Marriott's end was a lot quieter. FYI...I am extremely picky, so you can rest assured this is an accurate assessment.

The RC is at the end of 7-mile beach and is much wider than where the Marriott is. Most experiences noted in the GC threads tend to agree that the RC is on the much better beach area. The RC is also a much, much better "resort" than the Marriott is. The rooms are nicer (and bigger if I remember correctly). The RC has much better pools (and even has an adult only pool). It also has a very nice lounge. And while elites won't get free access, I was offered an upgrade to a CL level room for $100/day. (Note that RC lounges are nothing like normal Marriott lounges. They are very nice with lots of food/drink offerings.)

While your statements are true, I would just like to point out that the difference between the Marriott and RC in Grand Cayman really are minimal for the price/point difference the Ritz expects one to pay.

I have found that the service at the Marriott is by far some of the best I have ever encountered. The beach is more than adequate (yes it is smaller, but not so small it isn't enjoyable). I will give the RC the win on the pool side - what a gorgeous pool.

For the best bang for your buck/point, I'd always choose the Marriott over the RC.

Scrub Island....because of the lack of kids and privateness.
