Oceania (Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific) - Flights from the USA to the Pacific/New Zealand

As I'm generally shattered after long night flights, I'm trying to find out if there are any "day" flights for the flight from the USA's West coast (or Hawaii) to either the Pacific islands or New Zealand i.e. ones that depart in the morning (local time).
I've checked my local carrier (Air NZ) - all their flights depart late at night from the U.S.

QF used to have a day flight LAX-SYD but it was discontinued as it did not sell well compared to the many other night flights. You might find something ex-HNL but otherwise from LAX/SFO/YVR etc it is all night departures (in part to accomodate connecting pax from the rest of the US).
