American Express Membership Rewards - Amex Double Dip [simultaneous applications]

Can someone please answer this:

I applied 2 Amex Credit Cards - Amex Hilton 50K and SPG 25K using double dip. SPG was approved immediately, but Hilton was not. When I called Amex they suggested that 2 CC cannot be approved on the same day. The pending Hilton CC will only be looked after 4 days. Is this correct or there is any number I can call to get approved. Will this result in 2 credit hit or shall be combined to 1.

I have heard that also ... I don't think there's anything you can do in the meantime.

I've applied for two Amex cards (Hilton and Platinum) on the same day. Plat was instantly approved and Hilton was approved the following day. It's definitely possible.

Did you call to get Hilton approved? Was there 1 or 2 credit hit?

Happened to me last year, just call Amex after 4 days and they will approve your application.

Happened to me this this month. I applied for spg and Hilton surpass. Spg was an instant approval and hilton asked me to call in. I called and they said the app would be on hold for 5 business days for fraud prevention. Then it was approved 5 days later. I checked my cr and it showed as two hits.

seems like a charge card and a credit card can be done, but the fraud department jumps on two credit cards
