Per the USAirways website, we get actual miles flown (which I assume means no 500 mile minimum) for AC flights. I know that the website states the same for UA but people have received the 500 mile minimum. Any experience on AC? Thanks.

•Dividend Miles members traveling on Air Canada will accrue based on the actual miles flown.

Keep in mind "Tango" fares for Canadian domestic or US/Canadian trans-border itineraries do not earn miles when credited to DM, and only 50% on long-haul international.

Wish I could help you but my AC flight last month was 654 miles.

As you mentioned, as of march I was getting 500-min and a gold 50% bonus on UA flights.

I got a 500 mile min on UA as well - BWI-EWR and that's less than 200 miles. Also got PP bonus too.

So if you book an AC flight, how do you know you're not getting a Tango fare if you book thru a site other than AC? ITA was quoting me some ridiculously cheap fares to GRU on AC that booked into S. And S supposedly gets 100% DM and PQM.

In February, I flew LGA-YUL on AC (booked into L) and got my 500mi minimum, although the actual flight is like 240mi.

I ran a dummy booking through aircanada.com and it wasn't even offering Tango fares for YYZ-GRU ... cheapest was T (Tango Plus) for $1221 a/i - earns 100% on both Aeroplan and DM.

Ya, I don't know where ITA was pulling it from. I saw it available on Travelocity when I tried what it was saying, and it came out as low as $862 A/I for BWI-YYZ-GRU in August. That was in S. Fare disappeared though before I could book it. :(

Going to AC's site like you did, though, I was seeing nothing but Tango Plus and above too. Tango wasn't even an option.

In Jan I flew EWR-YYZ-EWR. I got 500 miles per segment (actual flight miles are a lot less). I did not get any elite bonus

Even EWR-YYZ returns nothing in the Tango category... hmm

Thanks. I'm also only seeing T+, but the prices are reasonable. The segments in question are YUL-YOW and then YOW-YYZ. If I didn't get the minimum miles, I'd skip the stop in YOW.
