Hi all, taking Jetblue BOS-SEA this Saturday. Flight is at 7:30am, and I was wondering if there will be anyplace open that early at Logan for me to grab some food?

Also, does Jetblue ever do discounted Even More seats at check-in? I looked this morning and the flight still has a bunch of open EMS seats. I don't really want to pay $55, but if it was $30 or something I'd do it.

Thanks!

beer works will be open for sure, so will the au bon pain. they added a few other places in the past couple weeks like potbellys, but no idea on their hours.

no, unfortunately b6 doesn't do that wrt ems. however, if your flight is fully booked they give them out at the gate as a last resort to non paying customers, but then again, you might get stuck with a middle seat :-)

Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts are open. If you want a breakfast sandwich from DD, you have to buy outside security, because the one inside security only has baked goods.

No discount on EMS. For a 6 hour flight, I find it worth it, but the value depends on your leg length, and sensitivity to legroom and personal space. Plus, depending on how full the plane is, you have a better than average chance of an empty middle seat next to you (assuming you choose an aisle or window), as people generally don't want to pay $55 to sit in the middle.

thanks for the info! Good to know I can get food somewhere.

Yeah, I definitely don't want a middle seat. Good point about the likelihood of an EMS middle seat being empty...I hadn't thought about that, but it makes sense. I'm just not sure. Legroom usually isn't my issue with planes, it's more about the waist room :o and EMS doesn't help with that. I did get it for my return flight the following week, that's a redeye so I want to be able to stretch out.

Actually all of the shops should be open, inside and outside security. Actually there is a full service DD inside the security checkpoint. It's located right next to gate C29.

Good to know. There's a stand by C27 that sells only baked goods, and I thought that was it the only one behind security.

I suppose the lesson is that one should not underestimate the number of DD's in Boston.

I counted once, there are 13 DD facilities on the Logan airport grounds (including the one at the gas station, but I think I also included that baked goods one at C27 which isn't quite as much as the others).

Being from the midwest I had no real idea about the power of Dunkin. I knew of the brand but all the stores in my area closed. I started with Jetblue before we served DD. So when we started serving it I had no idea how why our customers went crazy when they found out that we had it onboard. Now I know that nothing comes between a Dunkin fan and their coffee :D

There are 5 DD's in my town west of Boston (1 on the mass pike). Two of those five are across the road each other, on purpose (which would be Route 9)

So just to follow up, it seemed like everything was open but due to the Cape Air flights being at the same gates, I stood in line so long to get through security that I had to just grab a premade thing and board. Gaah....I don't usually expect airports to be crowded that early.

Also, did EMS for the flight back which was a red eye, made sleeping easier although having the middle seat empty was the best part!

Is there a separate BOS ticket counter line for EMS tickets (like other airlines have for first/business)?

As of right now there is not a seperate counter for those that have purchased EMS.

Correct. As you may know, EMS gets priority security and boarding.
