Hilton HHonors - for a stay June 28-July 2- how many points post?

Hi all, I am wondering what happens if my stays go through two different quarters of promotions

I chose the following options

Q2: double Miles

Q3: well, nothing to choose between.

What will HHonors give me if my stay is from 28/6 - 2/7?

Like most things Hilton, it will probably be based on the date that the stay posts.

If you get lucky it will post as Q3 stay and assuming its a participating hotel give you triple points. Most likely it will NOT post as Q2 because the stay did not end on June 30 and will NOT post as Q3 because the stay started before June 30. So all you will receive is a thank you for being a loyal HHonors customer but NO bonus.

Q3 FAQ states

If I check-in before July 1, 2012 or check-out after September 30, 2012, do I still earn credit for that stay?
Registered HHonors members will receive a bonus only for the nights of an eligible stay completed during the Promotion Period, regardless of a check-in date before the Promotion Period begins or a check-out date after the Promotion Period ends.

and Q2 FAQ states

So it does mean that I will get both Q2 and Q3 bonuses from this stay. My double dip option is fixed miles so it would be better if I change it to variable miles in order to get the bonus for Q2 but I have another issue: Variable miles is not available to Qantas FFP.

Will there be enough time to change my option to points + points on 1 Jul to maximize the points?

Both promos credited properly during a 6/30 - 7/2 stay as noted in my post in the Q2 thread. Was prepared for this to be totally goofed up, but HH got it right - 2x points for the first night, 3x points for the second night.

As an update and I think this might be useful for others in future situations, although it might change.
