Does anyone have any ideas for where to sell unwanted/excess gift cards? I am sitting on about 5K worth but am seriously thinking of switching to another brand right now given my displeasure over BOGO and also having lots of accrued points I can use.
I have looked at PlasticJungle, Cardpool and ebay, but with all the fees they all come out to about a ~17% loss from face value. Ideally I would like to be closer to 10 or 12%.
Thanks

with the annual -10% sale directly from Marriott + points/miles, since direct offer better then what you're looking to sell for suggest you consider a larger discount..............

Given what people seem to be willing to pay on ebay, there seems to be a market that is unaware that it's pretty easy to figure out ways to get them for at least 10 percent off (or get points or other bonuses worth that much by buying them). The problem, of course, is ebay's fees.
In short, there seems to be demand out there at 90 percent of value, but no efficient market to sell in. For 5k worth, if you can really get 83 percent from a reliable company you might just want to take that and lick your wounds if you really don't see yourself using the cards in the near future.
