An arbitration panel ruled June 1 that if Transportation Security Administration employees reach an impasse in their contract negotiations, they have the right to binding arbitration.

And bad news for the rest of us...

Police officers or fire fighters want a union? Sure. Teachers want a union? Eh...ok, fine. TSA wants a union? Um, why? They're vastly overpaid for the lack of work they do, they face no threat in their daily job, and giving them a union will only serve to make them bolder, as they have less and less individual accountability.
