Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - SFO-HKG night flights (particularly CX as well). Any thoughts?

As all of you already know, from July 1st (PERMANENTLY) according to the CX timetable schedule, CX872/873 is switching from 744 to 77W. To be honest, I have to say, this is really sad that night flights from SFO-HKG on the 744 are going away and switching to the Boeing 777-300ER. But then again, I feel more happy that flights these days are being switched to Boeing 777-300ER due to more fuel capability, especially since the night flights tend to struggle a LOT with fuel issues and the seating is about better, but CX people think of it differently. In the past, I have enjoyed night flights on the 744, and the last time I have been on a night flight on a 744 (it was the last time I have ever flown a 744) was August of 2009 on Cathay Pacific, and this year I am flying the night flight on the Boeing 777-300ER (but with Singapore Airlines, and it is the second time doing this). We already know the facts that nothing lasts forever, and it's unfortunately true.

To my facts, if CX had opened more routes with the 77W, SFO would have been 744 again for the Summer, but it is what it is. Well, these are my thoughts. I'm actually more happy they're switching to 77Ws, probably to me it means a good change because of many bad things that had happened in my life, and how life is changing for me and friends and some family (friendships, relationships, marriage, jobs, college, etc).

On the bright side, the afternoon flight is going to stay 744 for a while, so you can all enjoy F on the 744 in the afternoon flights.

Any thoughts on this anyone might want to share (Experiences, trips, aircraft, etc)
