Star Alliance - Swiss or TG from BKK-ZRH

Having a tough time deciding between TG or Swiss Airlines in Business Class from BKK-ZRH. Which has the better entertainment/food/service on this route. It looks like they both fly A340 on this and the Swiss has lie flats.

I'm a big TG fan especially when flying F ex-BKK. However, given that you are flying C I would stick to LX.

Entertainment LX = TG
Food: TG ≥ LX

Personally I would go with LX because of the fully flat bed. Everything else you mention is pretty similar between the two carriers.

This is very easy: LX by all means. I dislike the mediocre food and seats on TG.

I would rate Food and Service on LX > TG.

While I fully agree that LX would be the preferred carrier, it seems to me that the OP asked a completely rational question and that further explanation is required.

For myself, seat comfort trumps all else, so LX is preferred because of its fully flat seats. I find food and service to be similar, with LX IFE having an slight edge because I find it more comprehensible than TG.

SWISS all around experience better than TG

TG on a 340-600 rather than LX old 340-300. I can't sleep much on plane so fully flat or angled flat doesn't bother.

Food ex.ZRH should be more or less the same.

One thing is the departure/arrival time.
You get full day after arrival in BKK with TG (dep afternoon, arr. early morning)
You get full day before you leave ZRH with LX (dep late at night, arr. afternoon)

Give it a THAI-legendary service a try!

I've tried both.

I prefer TG and have taken it 3 or 4 times from BKK -> Europe while i've only flown swiss once from BKK -> Europe (Zurich).
