KLM Flying Dutchman - Exit seats not being opened for purchase as usual - Why?!!

I have flights scheduled AMS-TLV-AMS in around 5 weeks time, as somebody with long legs I always purchase seats with extra leg room, I’ve been trying for months, but for some odd reason these seats are blocked on both flights.

Anybody know why this is so?!
Any advice how to get these seats?

BTW is a Delta silver member entitled to any discount on these seats as a skyteam elite? (I assume i'm pushing my luck too far this time).

Was just told by the KLM call center that they have now changed the procedure and these seats can't be booked 90 days prior to departure but only through online checkin.

Just the exitrows seats or are the TLV flights now seen as intra-EU (thus ASR is only possible at T-30h)?

Just the exit seat rows.

Just received a message from KLM on facebook that the exit seats can't be booked as they are reserved for un-accompenied minors and disabled or blind and deaf passengers.

How uninformed one can be of basic aviation regulations! I recall a passenger which couldn't speak a fluent English being removed from the exit seats as he can't operate the emergency access easily, never mind children or blind, deaf, disabled passengers.

They've got to be joking??? Must disabled and blind open the doors in case of emergency????

That the statement from the KLM FB team is absolute nonsense and how on earth could they come up with that.

Hilarious! :D I can only assume that they got mixed up with bassinet position bulkheads which are indeed reserved for passengers with infants. I do not believe there is any particular seating reserved for UMs. The rest of their comment about disabled pax in exit rows does not even deserve any answer...

AF has special seats for UMs, I believe.

Copy of message from KLM:
It is indeed right that these seats are blocked and can not be reserved by our passengers. These seats are blocked for airport check-in to accommodate customers with special needs. These seats are blocked for e.g. passengers that require oxygen, blind or deaf passengers, unaccompanied minors or disabled passengers.

If there are still a few of these seats left close before the departure of the flight, these seats will be unblocked and can be reserved again.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to book these seats for you for this reason. Payments for the exit row seats can not be done via our service centre, you can only book these seats at the airport.

Is this for intercontinental or intracontinental flights?
