Hilton HHonors - Added HHonors at Check In - Do I still get perks?

I just checked into an embassy suites and my hhonors number wasn't on file. I have diamond status (just got it a couple stay ago) and I ma wondering if I still get the in-room perks (sodas, etc.).

I've noticed a real issue lately of not getting the promised perks period, HHonors on file at time of booking or at time of registration. While it seems that Hilton properties do a reasonably good job at recognizing status and thanking me for my loyalty, it's almost like they frequently forget the perks until I ask about them. That said, can't imagine why they wouldn't honor what you're entitled to based on your diamond status.

So they showed up and dropped off cookies and 2 bottles of water. Neither of which were on my list of three items. Strange.
