Dear FT friends,

I need to requalify for LH SEN, but I will miss it by around 55K miles.
This year is quite slow with flying unfortunately :(, but next one will be better.

I am looking for any opportunity to hit the 65K within Oct 15th and 25th.
My budget is not unlimited, but I would rather do it as painless, as possible, that's why I am aiming for premium cabin.
I can originate from any place in US.
Also preferrably I would not leave the continent, unless good deal.

I was thinking about LAS-SJU roundtrip in A few times, but I am still unsure, how much miles is being credited. Generally it says: 300% flown miles / 1500 miles minimum, but it also says that it applies to international flights.

Considering A on U*, how much miles it earns e.g.:
LAS-PHX
LAS-PHL

Thanks in advance!

the mi calculator says las-phx 255 mi, phx-phl 2070 mi.....

A on U* is gibberish to me....

good luck....

it looks like you are talking about us air.....when crediting us mi to ua, there is no 500 mi minimum, from what i have read on ft.....

edit to add....any us origin....is us the air line or any airport in the united states [i assume not ha & ak]....

i hate to rain on your parade but there is no such thing as a MR in a premium cabin on a US carrier (or any carrier for that matter) you will never get below a reasonable cpm threshold unless you get comp upgraded (which if you are status on LH but not codeshares you will not...unless you are GS, which...well nevermind). how many miles do you need? am i interpreting correctly that you need 65...K??? tall order...insurmountable even...in 10 days. the best deal going right now cpm wise that i have seen is SFO-FLL on UA varying in price from 226-250 RT in coach depending on dates and flight selections. if you fly it thru EWR or CLE you can get your 65k in 10 round trips, give or take. so one RT a day over your window of interest. good news is that they do have a redeye from SFO to CLE, you'll need it since the RT takes 22 hours. if you do this, i would like to speak with you at the end of those 10 days assuming you are still alive.

:D

Thats a lot of miles to come up short. Is it really worth it to you for travel next year to do the MRs this year?

Are you looking to purchase premium cabin? Or relying on status upgrades?

I take it this means an A class fare on United?????

Thanks for the feedback.

Just to make it clear:
- need 65k miles on LH card with 25% exec. bonus (so in fact I need around 50k miles)
- planning to fly us air or united in A class, which gives 300% / 1500 miles min per segment + 25% exec. bonus from base value
- hoping to spend <$3K
- need to do it Oct 15-25.
If I am correct, it should be enough to do 3 such turns in "premium" on us air.
I am also ok for overnight / 1-2 days stays in SJU to get some sun

Unsure of:
- how much miles I will really get considering route: LAS-SFO-PHL-SJU-PHL-SFO-LAS all i A class, because it says that 300% / 1500 miles applies per international travel

does this 3x for A fares show on us, ua, lh or all 3....if it is only on one, you should ask the ft mods to move to that forum.....your chances of a premium fare flyer seeing it are much better....

click on the yellow triangle in the lower left corner of the page to send a mod alert....

or maybe cut & past the info from the sites.....

edit to add....this sounds like a promo....is it really active all the time or maybe just oct?

It is not a promo:

looks good to me.....you will be in las for the oct period?

edit.....

are award and status miles the same?.... could there be a problem here?

is this for us air only?.....mi earnings the same for ua?

i tried searching the us forum a few times but didn't see anything on this, but my search ability isn't much & couldn't find anything before giving up....

maybe a lh/other ffer will say something....

have you priced an a fare on the las-phx-phl route for oct?.....checking a few days might be enlightening....
