Mileage Run Deals - Europe to Brazil / other longhaul - Under E350

OK, this got dumped into the Trick it / negotiate it thread. But this is an off-shoot of what was on there, and a simple EU open jaw, so i'm repeating here. Lots of options, can be taken a long way.
But very few Europeans spend more time on that thread, i'd hate for one of the visible ex-EU offers to be lost as this is an excellent fare. So i'm repeating here:
Alitalia -
GVA-RIO-BRU £289. sample dates 08/11 - 29/11. Can fly back into many other EU airports (i.e. LON) for similar prices.
Lots of other ex-EU options, start with AZ's route map and take it from there! They don't fly East much (BJS only I think).
I'm looking to go the other way, so won't use. I'm sure someone who does use it can expand on Mileage opportunities.

Thanks - very useful :)
And if you book through the UK AZ site, use E-coupon SPECIAL15UK to shave it down to £250.
I was reading this as August 11, not November 11 :D
Got very excited about a potential summer deal! :(

Thanks for posting it here, and using "less technical" language/terms.

I tried to get a more rational format adopted for dates e.g. 08 April 0r April 08, rather than 8/4 or 4/8.
I have no idea how widespread the system used in the US is: but it seems to be working against the format adopted in the rest of the world. The compromise of giving the month by name, rather than number, avoids confusion without offending users who cherish one form rather than the other.
Although August is a fine time to visit parts of Brasil, it's winter there and it can be cold and wet in the south, including Rio. November is late spring/early summer: far nicer!

great find... a Polish friend passed this deal (http://www.mlecznepodroze.pl/2012/06/22/tanie-loty-alitalia-z-europy-z-kodem-rabatowym/) on to me, but I wasn't sure the best place to post it here
didn't realise it was possible to fly back to LON. That makes it even better!
