Air France Frequence Plus - Which AF Flight CDG-SFO
Taking the kids from TLV-SFO and stopping in Paris for a few days. I'm Plat on delta and trying to figure out which of the 2 AF flights to take from CDG-SFO - I think my reservation is on the later 130pm flight on the 777 but thinking maybe the earlier flight would be better on the 747. I took that one a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't bad. I'm sure my kids would like to sit upstairs in coach just to say they sat upstairs, but the seats don't show as being available when I look on delta.com.
Judging by the number of seats left in coach, I figure there's little chance of an op-up, but I'm open to suggestions from the group! Which flight should I take and if it's the 747, how do I get upstairs?

For the most current seat availability, use airfrance.us or airfrance.com to check seat availability.

If one wants to know about AF-operated configurations, the Flying Blue forum is a good place to post.

747 upstairs; row 65 if you can get it.

The problem is that on delta.com it shows no availability on the upper deck and on Airfrance.us it shows availability but you have to pay $94 for upper deck seats.
Does anyone know if DL Platinums (and companion kids) can get a waiver on the $94 upper deck fee?

Also, is Air France one of those airlines that don't let kids sit in exit rows?

I haven't pulled up the equip type, but if it is the 10 abreast 777, avoid it at all costs....even fly another airline before getting in that thing. It is the worst Y configuration that I have ever experienced.

yes, DL Plats should get them for free, just ask as check-in.

Not unless 'kids' are at least teenagers (I believe the official cut off point is 12)...
