Japan - Immigration Lines at HND

Arriving from SFO JAL flight on 03 July late at night, 10:30 pm. What are the immigration lines like at that hour in HND for non-Japanese passport holders (called aliens by the Japanese)?

Is there a fast track line for APEC card holders? I have an APEC card good for Japan that I can use if regular lines are long.

Last time I arrived at HND (abit from the 10pm HA HNL flight) there was no line. The SFO flight arrived 10 minutes before us and all passengers already cleared immigration (but were still waiting for bags)

Took the same flight last December. Arrived around 10:30pm. We cleared the custom in 10-15 mins. It wasn't that busy.

+1. HND is a breeze.

Depending on the gate, it can be a bit of a hike (5 minutes or so) to immigration. Arrived tonight 10:30....4 or 5 immigration booths with no one in line. 10 people or so lined up at each of the customs counters, but got through in less than a minute.

Arrived HND 02 July 11:00 pm and hundreds of people in line. I asked about APEC and directed to lane 1 and 2, where only about 5 people in each line. Thru in 5 minutes. 10 minutes in customs line and I was out in time to catch Keihin Kyuko express train at 11:20 pm to Shinagawa.
