Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Fuel & Taxes on award ticket

Could somebody help me out with the price of an award ticket. I want to transfer amex point to cathay from SFO-BOM on Nov 28 2012. Award requires 85,000 one way business. I wanted to know the fuel and tax charges before I transfer and their website won't show me the price. Thanks in advance.

You can do a dummy revenue booking on the same itinerary. The taxes/surcharges will be shown in fare details, but that amount can be different on the day you ticket. It should be USD300-400 (one way) for your itinerary.

please note if you ticket after 1Jul, fuel charges will go down by ~240HKD or 30USD.

sounds totally schoolboy, but can someone confirm to me YQ on AAward ticket is 0 or otherwise? a friend wants to redeem BOS-CDG but is debating to use CX or UA.

AAward on CX does not have YQ.

If I was your friend, I would have chosen UA (Europe's YQ is...oh well...)

Calculated as for a return ticket: taxes, airport improvement, security +other fees is ~US$ 60-70 (regardless long or short haul). Airline surcharges for fuels, etc is ~ 22% to 25% of base fare. Not a good time to fly.
