Texas - Love Field to Arlington

Help me justify not renting a car.
Two of us are flying into Love Field, seeing the Red Sox play the Rangers, hitting Six Flags, and heading back. I'm looking for a hotel for two nights close the the Rangers Ballpark that has a complimentary or reasonably priced shuttle service to and from DAL. All of the paid shuttle services' prices for two people round trip are comparable to renting a car. Many hotels advertise a free shuttle to DFW, but I have two K5 vouchers to use up, and that puts us into DAL. I'm open to public transportation, but it doesn't appear that DART services Arlington. Hoping for some local or experienced traveler suggestion.
Thanks

It is 20+ miles from Love Field the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. It is past the bounds of free airport shuttle in the Love Field market if you are trying to stay in Arlington. You can find a free shuttle to airports around Love Field but it's not an area I would recommend staying in and it won't put you anywhere near Arlington. I am not aware of any free shuttle to Arlington from DAL. Any mish mash of bus/Tre/Dart/shuttle you put together is going to take about 1.5 to 2 hours and require 3-5 changes and multiple modes. If you are going the Rangers/Red Sox series in July it will be incredibly hot and some of those buses/trains only run every 20 minutes. I don't take public transport in Dallas so maybe someone else can give you better information than I can on that.
I highly recommend getting a car.

I highly recommend getting a car.
Yeah, that seems to be what I'm leaning towards now.
Thanks for the info.
Arlington TX is often cited as being the largest city (population) in the entire US with no public transit, not even buses.

I would SO concur. I can't imagine trying to make that trip on some combination of public transit.

I concur as well. There are plenty of options to get between either airport and some parts of the DFW metroplex on public transit - but not with that itinerary.

Love Field is convenient for Dallas, but DFW is much more convenient for Arlington.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like it's just a few bucks cheaper for the pay shuttle than for a rental car. Since I really don't need a car @ Six Flags, the game, or the hotel, I think I'm aiming for that at this point.
I appreciate the info!
