Hi guys
This is my first post in FlyerTalk, I'm from Bangkok, Thailand. Around next month I'm travelling (alone) to Manila (Departing from Bangkok) for a few days and I am looking for a nice airline to fly. Doesn't matter if it's a direct flight or not (But not more than 1 layover) and I'll be flying business class. Like, airlines with unique cabin designs, tasty food, good services, good IFE system. I consider Thai airways kind of boring.

I am not a frequent flyer, So it would be nice if I have your recommendations and ideas before I make decisions:)
Thanks!

Welcome to Flyertalk!
Given the choice I would fly Singapore Airlines (Bangkok-Singapore-Manila), or maybe Cathay Pacific (Bangkok-Hongkong-Manila) for the food and service; I forget though how the inflight entertainment is in biz class on those routes.
In the spirit of Flyertalk you can also try coming up with even more indirect routings such as Bangkok-Osaka-Manila etc :D

IMHO 5J has the best live in-flight entertainment!

As KIXman has pointed out, you're probably best off with SQ or CX. Of the non-stop flights, you're left with PR and 5J (not sure if Air Asia does the route?) 5J doesn't offer business class, and while I haven't taken PR in J, if you think TG is boring I doubt you'll find PR a lot better.

And the last few flights I've taken with 5J, none had the safety demonstration dance.

IMHO 5J has the best live in-flight entertainment!

It starts when the safety briefing begins (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lqh8e2KYIrU) :D

It would be nice if they start inflight service like "LynxJet Airlines (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QmcHdzwwiQ)"

The classic suggestions would be SQ or CX with connections through their respective hubs. For business class, I would pick the Cathay lounges (are they still undergoing renovations?) in HKG over the Singapore lounges in SIN, although I prefer SIN as an airport. Look at seat maps. I hate 2-3-2 in business class.

Other good choices would be ANA through Tokyo. KE and OZ through ICN go far out of the way.

Are you collecting miles already? What alliance? *A for TG? If so, note that CX is oneworld.
