China - Beijing, Shanghai, +???

Planning a trip for next April. Likely flying into Beijing and out of Shanghai... 11 nights total. Any recommendations for an intermediary visit? Probably thinking of 4-5 nights in Beijing, 3-4 nights in Shanghai.. so looking for somewhere for say 2-3 nights. Xian? Hangzhou? Zhouzhuang? Park Hyatt Ningbo? Any thoughts?

Or should I just split the time between Beijing and Shanghai?

If you havent seen the terracotta warriors I would definitely include Xi'an.

Stunning is an understatement

Yep, Shanghai, Beijing, and Xian are popular. If Xian is too far out of the way or too hard to build into the itinerary, you can spend some time in Suzhou and/or Hangzhou, both not that far from Shanghai. Check out the gardens and such. From Hangzhou, it isn't too far to go to Huang Shan for gorgeous mountain scenery!
