I was looking at doing a weekend hop from SCL to MVD. In searching the fares I find that regular categories of economy ranging from U$85 to U$450, but the Premium Economy shows as U$215! This is cheaper than two of the other four economy fare categories. Since the lowest fare only gives me partial mileage in AAdvantage, it would be about $100 a/i more to opt for Premium Economy over the next higher economy fare. So what gives? :confused:

Just a guess based on other carriers, but is the cheap Y+ nonrefundable while the more expensive coach fares are nonrefundable?

It will only make you crazy! Looked at PHX>DEN RT on Wed. Full Y fare $450. Discounted F* fare, $360. Guess which one I bought??? (-;

F* And this still gave me a 125% bonus vs. the full 150% bonus. I'll do deals like this ALL DAY LONG (-:

Fully flexible, all the benefits of the higher economy fares plus 25% more mileage in all ONEWORLD programs.

Premium Economy is generally less than Full Flexible, more than Base, Base Plus, Flexible, as you may know. I have seen some quirky results in the the results from time to time tho.
What did you mean a fare at U$85? Seems pretty good even if 25% accumulation! Sometimes if you punch through to purchase page the error is corrected.

Found something similar on the LIM-SCL leg of my itinerary - cheapest fare available outside Peru was the Y+ fare. Didnīt understand it but not arguing!
