InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - Intercontinental Central Park

Does anyone have any experience with the Inter-Continental on Central Park in NYC. I've stayed at the Barclay before and was not particularly impressed. Would appreciate any info. Thanks.

I stayed there a year ago. Much nicer than the Barclay, IMHO, but typical small old-style NY hotel. Did not have meals there, but had a Jr. Suite which was very nice and cozy. Typical amenties.

I like it much better for going to the theatre district and the subway for the west side if that's where you need to be.

I stayed at both hotels last week. I would not agree on the Central Park being the better choice though. I think Barclay is nicer, more spacious, larger and nicer rooms. Barclay also has a fitness center/more amenities. Both are excellent locations. Upgrades with 6 Cont was non-impressive, had booked a superior/deluxe room at both properties and that is what I received so where is the upgrade?

If you are staying several nights why not stay at both with all the PC promotions going on.
