I think deferral may be a bit of a misnomer. It looks like the scheduled delivery changed by a few months, moving from one calendar year to another. For all we know, Boeing could have asked AS to move the deliveries around.

Makes sense....the delivery schedule for late 2012-summer 2013 is pretty heavy. We needed more deliveries in 2014 to support anticipated increased flying in that year. The order for three more a/c plus pushing some back to 2014 balances out the growth through 2014.

For me, I'd rather fly SEA-DFW-HNL/OGG on AA with the 763 for the US-Hawaii flights in J. Plus, more miles that way too :) Dunno if I can convince my girlfriend of the value of the extra flight time though :rolleyes:

How many aircraft is that? Is that 12 or 15 737-900ER has already on firm orders. Is that 737-800 or 900ER?
