Mileage Run Discussion - DL MR help needed: MSP - SLC with anywhere in between 8/28 - 9/4

I've got a planned trip to SLC where I need to arrive evening 8/28 and leave anytime of day 9/4. I've got a day or two on either side as flexibility if it helps in getting a very cheap MR opportunity. I realize it's labor day weekend so flights won't be as cheap as otherwise. Need to originate/terminate in MSP, be in SLC those dates, but other than that I'm wide open.

Never really looked for an MR before. What are the suggestions for trying to maximize my return on this trip? While booking a multi-city, what are the good pairs to look for? Any suggestions?

This is a DL hub to hub route, not the best for finding MR oppurtunities. I guess check MSP-DTW/CVG/ATL-SLC. Might also be able to find a MSP-DEN-SLC routing that will get you a few extra miles and a segment.
