Hi all,
I am planing a tripp to bangkok in october till november for 2 weeks.

I will fly to bangkok first and planing to stay a few days in the city.

I also like to visit Hua Hin. What is the best way for the transfer? My budget will be limited.

What hotels can you recommend?

I like to stay at PCR or Hilton, Hyatt or Club Carlson properties for getting some points.

If I have totally 14 days, how would you split it?
7 days for bangkok and 7 for Hua Hin or different?
This is my first trip to Tailand, so if there is anything else I should visit I am more than happy for suggestions.

I am 29, and will celebrate my 30th birthday in Tailand.

I found the Regent Beach Cha AM on the PCR webside... can you recommend that hotel?

Thank you very much

Earlier this month I hired a car in Bangkok and drove to the IC Hua Hin.

Having a car in Hua Hin is great because you do not need to rely on tours and can go where you like when it suits you.

If you decide not to drive, consider staying at the Hilton because its got a Town Center location.
If you want a quiet time, book a resort hotel e.g. Dusit Thani, Marriott, Sheraton, IC.

I have never stayed at the Holiday Inn but I did pay a visit and was not too impressed. I've also been told they are to lose their franchise after refusing to refurbish the bedrooms.

Thailand is a great choice to spend your 30th birthday, but I suggest staying in Bangkok first for a few nights.

Are you travelling with a family or is it a trip with the lads?

If you have a tight budget, get a bus from Bangkok.

Or share a private minibus if travelling with a few friends:

The Evason"Hua Hin" in Pranburi has cheap rooms Sept/Oct with breakfast on Travelbag:

But be aware you would need a taxi from Hua Hin to Pranburi, about 25 minutes further south.
