Hilton HHonors - Kayak Booking + HHonors Number

I made a reservation at a Hilton property through Kayak. I realize that I'm not eligible for points/stay credit for this, however, is it possible to attach my HHonors number to the reservation before arriving at the property? It seems that the Kayak generated confirmation number, not surprisingly, isn't recognized by the Hilton site.

You can have your HH number attached to your reservation when you check in. No problem.
Yep, the Kayak conf # won't match. Same goes for Expedia, Priceline, Travelocity, etc... I've had that issue when I've bought airline tickets with Expedia. Whoever adds your res to the Hilton system will most likely include a comment in your folio indicating what the 3rd party conf # is. Definitely take a hard copy of that res or bring you laptop and be able to bring up that res.
