Star Alliance - United Club Member access at JFK T1

Do the Star Alliance lounges require you to have a boarding pass for a Star Alliance flight to get in? Will be flying UN out of JFK shortly and wondering if I will be able to use the Lufthansa lounge in T1.

Yes. You must be departing on a *A flight in an appropriate class of service and/or have elite status to gain access. Or you must have a lounge membership.

When using lounges not operated by UA or US the membership must also be accompanied by a BP departing the local airport on *A metal. The OP, flying on UN, will not have access to the LH lounge even with their paid lounge membership per the rules.

The United Club is behind security in T7. Are you able to get through TSA if the BP is for a flight in a different terminal?

Yes, or the agents in T7 can issue a gate pass.

The club in T7 isn't worth an extra TSA experience IMO. Really just not that great.

No go at JFK. TSA won't let you through without a T7 boarding pass and two agents would not issue gate passes for the Club.
