Not sure exactly where the best place to ask this is...but I figured this is probably a good bet.
I will be in Montreal for a few days soon. When I travel photography is one of my main interests. Anyone know if tripods are allowed in places like the Notre Dame Basilica? Or the other big churches? I sent an email to the Basilica but they have not responded. I know that they are often not allowed in those places. I figure I can always give it a try and the worst that can happen is somebody tells me no...the old ask for forgiveness, not for permission.
I will have three full days to spend. At the moment I am figuring I will spend one day in Old Montreal. I was there several years ago but plan to spend a bit more time there. And I see that the evening lighting plan is supposed to be quite nice and certainly worth some photos. Another day I am thinking I will go to Mont Royal Park and the neighborhoods around there. And then the other day most likely at the Botanic Garden, Insectarium and the area surrounding. I am bummed that I missed the big butterfly thing at the Botanic Garden. But hopefully there will be some around in the "wild".
