Hotel Deals - 24 Euros Grand Nile Tower Cairo (formerly Grand Hyatt)

I have found a 24 EUR ai nightly rate for 3 (one child) including breakfast on http://www.logitravel.fr . If I booked it directly on the hotel's site its 360 US for the room only plus 24% tax.

I booked it for next week. Then I went to book another room for two nights and it was priced higher (71,74 EUR) for two nights or ~36 EUR per night and 119 EUR for two nights with half-pension ~ 60/night (it had been 99).

wonder if there are lots of egypt hotel deals out there? wonder what some of the best ones are?
have some hotels just shut down completely?

I was able to score the Fairmont Nile City, which was a brand new hotel a few years ago for about $150 last year. I think it's usual price would have been higher than $250 before the revolution.

I would think that there are lots of deals on right now.

I just got back from Cairo. I stayed at the four seasons nile plaza and the Fairmont nile city. Please go with the nile city. It is utterly incredible... Especially a nile view room. If the price for the FNC is close to what you are paying Id splurge and go for it. You won't be disappointed.

It's a nicely located hotel, but the (I think Saudi) owner left Hyatt after some contractual argargy-bargy and a farce involving ditching the sale of alcohol on the premises. It now operates as an independant: I don't know has it gone back to being a gin palace.

this still works for majority of weekends in september, november and october on the german (.de) version of the site.

be sure to go for a 2 adults and a kid under 6 when searching for a rate. It takes it down from 36 to 24EUR.

I'm going to be in Cairo in September so this looks interesting. Has anyone successfully booked this rate and confirmed the reservation with the hotel? I wonder if it's a pricing error or a genuine rate? I doubt if the hotel would honour the rate if it's a mistake on the agent's site. Has anyone used this agent before?

I did, three nights in august. The hotel was not great. Swimingpool closed !
Only two restaurants open. Rooms very tired . I make my booking through another travel agency , the hotel could not find my reservation , was a prblem of the local travel agent.
Staff very nice. Breakfast very good.

The elegantly-decorated rooms and suites at Grand Nile Tower include a work desk, satellite TV and minibar.
