Practical Travel Safety Issues - Hours of Operation for PreCheck line at Sea-Tac?
The past two times I've traveled through Sea-Tac, Checkpoint 5 has been closed and thus no PreCheck was available to me.
Does anyone know if there are specific hours for this checkpoint, or if it's dynamic based on the number of anticipated passengers?

They must close really early. I haven't been able to use Checkpoint 5 as early as 8:30/9:00 pm. Bummer!
Are they still closing this checkpoint early in the evening?

I've seen it closed at 7-730p when connecting in SEA.

When I went through this week, they told me that the official closing time is currently 8:00PM, but that they're looking to expand the hours until midnight early next year.

FYI, I see they have also changed the precheck lane from checkpoint 5 to checkpoint 3 at seatac.

They also have a screener at 1, who checks stuff (BP, ID), tells you "there's a pre-check line at 3" and then sends you to the TDC who checks stuff again.

Very true. And the good news is that they scan your BP at the entrance to the precheck lane to make sure you get the triple beep before allowing you into the line.

Just had this experience tonight, as well. Here I was comingto post this experience and found this thread right next to the 'How often do PreCheck users get randomly selected for full screening' one. TS&S needs it's own version of Best Juxtaposed Thread Titles Ever :D
