Emirates Skywards - EK in Y A388 and A332

Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I've booked 5 segments on Emirates in Y:
- CDG-DXB / A388
- DXB-CCU / A332
- BKK-HKG / A388
- HKG-DXB (via BKK) / A388
- DXB-CDG / A388
I am trying to select good seats on all these flights but something bothers me. In the seatmap below, row 66 seems to be only a pair of seats, but on seatguru or expert flyer it shows three seats. How is it really? Would 66K be a good seat?

Also does Emirates give Y passengers an "amenity kit" with eyeshades?
Thanks!

I can't help with seat questions because on my akl - dxb seat layout row 66 has 3 seats but I did get eyeshades in Y in January.
Thanks

It is 3 seats. Only rows 67 & 80 have the 2 seat config.
Eyeshades will be on your seat.

I did 3 overnight sectors on Emirates in April, 2 of which were ULH and only got eyeshades on the one with the shortest amount of "night" flying.

I always avoid taking the last row of a section because at times, the seat cannot be leaned backwards. Happened to me when I was junior ;)

I love the last row of a section because even though you might not be able to recline, there is no issue of anyone behind you kicking the seat or similar. Ideal to sleep in.

Oh wow, I cannot even hold my head if the seat isn't reclined, it always falls to the front down. But maybe this is the way how you sleep?

I've spent many nights sleeping on jumpseats like this, so a non-reclining seat isn't really a problem! :D

Thank you all! I modified my seat choices thanks to your links! Can't wait to fly Emirates!
I flew 68 A and K on a return from DXB-MAN last year on the A380, they are awesome seats if you can get them. Loads of legroom, but can a get little cold because your very close to the exit door.
52B or 52J a good seat on the JFK-DXB A388 ? Or are they bassinet?
On the seating chart it doesn't show it's bassinet, however on the DXB-JFK Flight the seats are marked as bassinet. I'm confused as to what these seats are.
I flew BKK-DXB on a 380 in Y class recently. Was on the main deck at the front. aisle with middle x-ed out. The whole thing was extremely claustrophobic, with the seat in front really in your face.
SQ's 380's are much nicer in Y.

I totally disagree with you. I find EK's Y class more comfortable than SQ's.
After flying on EK's A380 Y class, I won't want to fly with SQ's again.
i flew EK A380 CDG-DXB in Y and boy, the legroom and width is so much roomier than the 773s and 772s!
can't comment about SQ coz never flown their A380 before

You'll soon find that if Budley was given the whole Emirates plane to himself, he'd still find something to complain about :D

You're probably right, but I stand by my previous comments. I just couldn't believe how tight everything felt. Perhaps it was because I'd just flown AKL-BKK in TG C class.

I am leaving next week and wanted to clarify something: the bagage allowance is 30kg (I'm flying Economy class) and I can't check two bagages as long as it is below 30kg right?

Check as many items as you like as long as together they do not exceed 30kg and are within dimension rules.
