I just signed up my sister for BMI DC to get the 1000 enrollment miles (to transfer to our family BAEC account), and she didn't get the miles (I used the link on their webpage to get the 1000 miles).

PS the card still has the *A symbol....

Which link still has the 1000 miles?

Flybmi.com on the right side under Diamond Club which that leads you to the main DC enroll page where it states again the enroll promo of 1000 miles

Just seen your location, and indeed it still has the bonus listed on the US site :)

I think BA/bmi have probably forgotten they have a US version of flybmi.com ;)

Take a screenshot of the page in case they change it, email the social media team:

open [at] flybmi [dot] com

Make it clear that you're using the US version of the site and that there's a 1000 enrolment advertised when you signed up.

Please note, it's usually a good idea to earn a few miles in order to trigger and enrolment bonuses. Use flybmi online shopping and spend a few dollars.

The social media team seem good at passing things to the right people within bmi and they know better than we do which departments actually still exist.

Enrolment bonus miles are non-transferable in the Diamond Club family membership scheme. If you get them, you'll see that clearly.

Can stuff be transferred within BA's scheme?

You can set up a household account on BA. All of the members living at the same address can be on the account. Any of the household members can use the miles in the combined account. This also allows children under 18 to earn BA miles.

What I assumed they were doing was opening a diamond club account in the name of an existing BA family member so they could transfer to BA rather than transfer to another bmi account.

The BA family memberships work differently and I was quite surprised how they did work.

Rather than being able to transfer avios between members in the scheme any transactions in the family account deduct from all members, the percentage deducted from each member depends on their total number of miles so the one with the most miles ends up paying the most for the redemption even if the person redeeming has enough miles to cover it themselves.

For all does wondering about the transfer i'm planning, we are all going to transfer out BMI miles to our BAEC account (same name), which our BAEC are pooled together in a household account.

Should do, they're still promoting the address on twitter. Make sure you've removed any spaces and change [at] to @ and [dot] to a dot. We just write the emails in this obscure form on this forum in an attempt to reduce the amount of spam they receive.

I did change [at] to @ [dot] to . And I get back a auto-msg (from gmail) that the email got rejected

I just had to check as we can't be sure how much knowledge people have with email. I hope you didn't take offense at that.

I'm still surprised that it didn't work. I just sent a test message from gmail and it didn't bounce. Perhaps there was an issue with their mail server earlier and descending might do the trick?

Give it another shot. If it bounces again then contact flybmi on twitter or Facebook if you're on either of these networks and they should help.

We did have a bmi rep on here but I'm not sure if she's active any more due to the changes going on with the integration with BA. Her name is Joanna and she has the username 'diamond club'. She's been a great help to us in the past but I'm not sure if she's still around. Her boss, Keeley, has left recently and diamond club is getting wound down ready to get people to move their miles to BA.

I think you will have better luck if you sent your e-mail to: diamond.club[at]flybmi.com

Two members of my household received their long-awaited 1,000 mile Diamond Club bonus within 48 hours of contacting this address.

Glad to see that address is still working, but it's hard to know which teams behind the scenes at bmi still exist. So I suggested to social media team as they seem good at passing requests to the right people and chasing up on your behalf.

Was it Joanna who replied to your email?

My e-mail to diamond.club[at]flybmi.com received a prompt response from a gentleman named Craig, and the bonus miles were immediately posted to my account. It seems to make more sense to communicate directly with the Diamond Club, instead of the social media folks at BMI, particularly since people are having e-mail problems with the latter. I have now received the bonus miles for all four members of my BA Household Account. I am very happy with the customer service at Diamond Club. (I didn't need to provide them with a screen shot of the promotional offer.)

Just received from diamond.club[at]flybmi.com

Dear XXXX,
The enrolment bonus was withdrawn on the 21st April, when we released our new web site.
Since you joined after that date you are not entitled to the bonus.
Best regards
Andy

But how the website as of now, 5am ET it still shows the bonus? I signed up on the page which stated the bonus.

And for all those who will ask, yes, I have included a screenshot of the page in the email, this is the reply I got....

The new site is a dog's dinner - they were serving SACP ads until last week...

I reply that the website still shows it an that I have attached screenshots of the offer. They reply,

I have checked our website at www.flybmi.com and there is no offer on the 'join now' area. I
have no screenshot attached to this email and the original email did not have complete screen
shots, just copies of the areas which used to show on our site. I can only assume you are
accessing a cached page via a search engine which is displaying out of date web pages.
Best regards

Now how can I fight that when the website (I cleaned my history and cache) still shows it, but anyway the same time I received an email from open[at]flybmi.com,

Just been advised by Diamond Club that your
enrolment miles have been added.

And sure enough the miles posted....

Thanks everyone for your help :)

The web team has never been brilliant at up/down-dating the regional websites; and the server balancing is just tremendously bad.

And it's poor form of the staff member responding to you to suggest what he suggested, when even I can see the offer still live on the site; not to mention SACP advertising.

Thanks. I had forgotten that I had signed up for this (back on April 20 or 21) and not gotten it, until I saw the relatively new thread about a new offer (but not available to those already signed up for BMI):

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milesbuzz/1377962-free-1000-avios-creating-bd-account.html

I tried your email suggestion, and got a reply back within 48 hours that I had been award the 1,000 mile bonus, and logging into my account I do see it there.

Thanks a lot!!!
